HOTEL CARAVAGGIO, Rome – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel provided exactly what we expected, with everything we needed in the rooms. However, the dampness made the beddings smell like mold, which was quite unpleasant. The hot water took too long to arrive, which was a bit frustrating.

I had a mixed experience with the hotel. The location was great, right in the center of Rome, with nearby restaurants and a minimarket, making it convenient. The rooms, although oddly shaped with no view from the bed, were clean and cooled quickly due to their proximity to the breakfast kitchen. The freezing temperature in the room during January evenings was a significant downside.

The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms, adorned with lovely old-world furniture that takes you back to a bygone age. However, the property includes an additional room in an apartment block next door. The service is outstanding, with a helpful and polite attitude from the staff. The location is incredible, allowing easy access to major attractions such as the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. On the downside, the dining options are limited, consisting of basic items like ham, cheese, and coffee. Overall, a charming stay with a mix of positives and a few areas for improvement.
